The Coyote Eats The Road Runner

Road Runner in Winston Salem, NC

So now we have made it to the middle of June with no improvement even though in May we were passed off to “The Escalation Team“.  I saw no benefit of being escalated other than a credit for one month of service.

So June introduces us to Bradley,  he is in maintenance and basically came out and looked around to see if we knew how to operate a computer. While here, he was doing a system ping to Google, while at the same time, the browser refused to find the Google page, or any page for that matter. This seemed to surprise Bradley, like I really did have a problem and wasn’t just a dumb old grey haired guy.

Bradley left me getting screen captures to prove I had issues and what I thought would be used to trouble-shoot my problem. I sent them to his email account.

On 6/20/11 Bradley replied to my email.  He said he was sorry we were still having issues and that the problem was “pushed” to the network team and he would let me know when he heard something….

So I wait…

In the meantime, my fiancee is fighting ovarian cancer, her mother is with congestive heart failure so we are limited to how hard we can push Time Warner Cable right now.

So now we start our third month of partial internet service.

Road Runner Internet, The BBB, And Me

by Toolman on Aug.10, 2011, under Articles, Tips

Life has been, well, life this year. The beauty of internet marketing, if things are set up right, certain things will run automatically.

This year has been busy with health issues for myself and family that have kept me occupied.

This posting is not intended to belittle the workers of  Time Warner Cable here in Winston Salem, NC.

When I say the giraffes neck is long, that is not a judgement or statement about the giraffe it is only a description of the giraffe. I will try and remove myself from this and just describe my experience, I will let you be the judge of whether it is good, bad, or indifferent.

I have had to put so much work and effort into not only getting my internet working properly here in Winston Salem, NC, but it has become a battle. Since I have had to document so much to prove to Time Warner Cable that I am not insane and know how to operate a computer I will be getting more use from my notes by sharing them with all who find this with a Google or Yahoo search.

My current problem began in April, since it was normal for my service to be crappy for a few days and clear up, it was around May when I requested someone come out and work on my issue.

We have had intermittent issues for over 2 years now, this will explain my last nightmare here in Winston Salem, NC with Time Warner Cable over their Road Runner Internet Service.

My Road Runner Internet Speeds in Winston Salem, NC

This is my starting point with this round.

Yes I have had dial-up service that out-performed this! (Not a judgement, just a description)

And the saga begins……

Autosurf Traffic Exchanges

by Toolman on Sep.05, 2010, under Free Tools, Tips

Can you Really Get Results from Auto-Surfs?

There are different thoughts on autosurf traffic exchanges. Some people say they are a waste of time and bandwidth. Others swear by them. I asked a new manual exchange owner who didn’t allow referral pages of autosurf exchanges on his site, what was wrong with autosurf traffic… he didn’t know, he had just heard stuff that he couldn’t recall.

One thing I have learned in life and in marketing, you may want to try it yourself  just to see. They always tell you, results may vary, well, I am curious about my results more than Joe Smith’s results.  Autosurf traffic exchanges are a main part of my total marketing strategy. I could explain in detail the what, why, and how, but that isn’t the point of this post.

The Traffic Laundry Revisited.

In 2004 Norm Duffy upset many of the so-called traffic exchange “Gurus” by making public some of his results from his traffic exchange testing. I was there and the results were, shall I say, very surprising. As you can imagine, it is a big help knowing what exchanges get results. The Traffic Laundry idea goes beyond that. It takes “dirty” or “useless” traffic, runs it through the “laundry” and come out with traffic that gets you results. This is over and above what traffic you are already getting.

The Twitter Blueprint

by Toolman on Apr.29, 2010, under Uncategorized

What do you think limits your online profit more than anything?

Actually it’s two things…

LACK OF KNOWLEDGE and LEARNING CURVE.

I know what it’s like – You see services, products and software that you KNOW will benefit your business but it’s impossible for you to use them unless you know what you’re doing with them.

But on the other hand, learning all these things takes times, and if you’re a pro marketer time is money – cliche but true.

If you’re not yet fulltime you’re probably struggling to find time to work on your business anyway, with your job, family, the shopping, paying the bills, washing the car, and all the other things that make up our day to day lives, let alone learn essential new techniques.

But some things are pretty important for your business.

And if you’re not yet using Twitter as a marketing tool then – let’s speak plainly – you’re falling behind the competition.

Well I can help, by showing you ONLY the things you need to know about Twitter as an internet marketer.

The rest you simply don’t need.

Introducing……

Traffic Explosion Secrets

by Toolman on Apr.28, 2010, under Uncategorized

So you have done your homework, discovered your profitable niche, the right product, (whether it be yours or an affiliate product) set up your blog and you’re ready to have the profits come rolling in! Or are you?

Too often, the scenario I see is this: Novice marketers set up the site, which is all beautifully set up, let it run Live and expect to see hordes of people stampeding over to them and buying their products.
I’ d hate to say this but: No, that doesn’t happen in real life.

You see, thanks to the interactive nature of the web nowadays you are expected to have a couple of things besides good content in your site:

• Your site needs to have original, unique and quality content for it to be picked up by the search engine spiders.

• Your site needs loads of trackbacks and backlinks in order to be discovered by the search engines for higher page ranking

• You need to at least have a blog to interact and constantly update your information.
