When Personalities Collide
by Toolman on Jan.16, 2010, under Uncategorized
Hi, I’m Average Joe Marketer. Are You Me?
I have a product or service I would like to sell. I have decided to use the internet as one medium to spread word of my wares around. I want to spread it around good, so I use classified ads, safe lists, traffic exchanges, text and banner exchanges, maybe even the bathroom wall.
When promotions work and you make a profit, I may even upgrade at the place that works. A win/win/win for me, as an advertiser, the owner of the service I use, and my customer. We continue this relationship on a continuous basis, week after week, month after month. Because the internet constantly grows, there is a constantly growing customer and consumer base. My customer finds what they want, I make sales, the advertising outlet makes sales. A finely-oiled and tuned machine purring along…… and…..
BANG… BAM… BOOM!
Out of nowhere this ‘successful‘ marketing campaign runs into a wall and stops dead in it’s tracks.
All of a sudden an owner is upset at the owner of another product/service and that isn’t allowed to be promoted here. I understand the rights of the owner, (I own stuff) but isn’t that like biting the nose to spite the face kinda stuff?? Doesn’t matter if you are a free member or pay premium dollars to be upgraded, you are stuck in the middle of other peoples UNRELATED QUIBBLES.
I would love to know (not really) how much time I have wasted in just the last 2-3 years, adding campaigns, then deleting them, then re-adding, and re-deleting because someones ‘feelings/pride’ was hurt….. I about need a spreadsheet to keep up with what I can promote where.
NBC Announces No More Ford Ads
*( This is a sarcastic paragraph – NBC didn’t ban Ford, wonder why?)
Also if you own a Ford you are not allowed to watch NBC TV….
Yea? They might would have that right, BUT wonder why really successful companies don’t let the waves of their battles slosh their customers around ? I’m just asking…..
Paying Customers Are Gold
Paying customers are what we as business owners seek… Am I on the right track with this thinking?
So why would we make them contort, change, invest time changing ads over a personal thingie that doesn’t concern them? Are we the only supplier of this service and they will always be there? And therefore will make the changes they need to do? To infinity and beyond?
New Marketing Model
Is there a new marketing model I haven’t learned yet? Run business like a soap opera or pro wrestling event and have no concern about sloshing around the paying customer? Do we no longer value the customers money and support? Are we OK with replacing those that don’t want to take the time to bounce around and fall by the way-side? Not caring about loyally spending their money with us month after month?
Come on people! Just ’cause it’s the internet and on our computers, it’s not a game….

by Toolman on Jan.12, 2010, under Program Launch, Tips
The Traffic Laundry, Cleaning Dirty Traffic Daily!
If you have joined The Traffic Laundry then you are getting free hits from… well, you know where from….
This was covered in the weekly training sessions. A simple technique of taking the same traffic exchanges you currently use and gaining more free hits, like pulling free hits out of thin air. Some of us have used this technique successfully for years. It is not only easy, but ethical and productive. I chuckle as people learn The Traffic Laundry technique and get amazed when it actually works for them.
Weekly Training Sessions
A priceless benefit of joining The Traffic Laundry (and it is free) is the weekly training sessions. Norm covers any and all aspects of internet marketing. In one recent session website SEO (Search Engine Optimization) was covered. As an example Norm directed the members in the room to observe a Google search for The Traffic Laundry.
